Local Data Center Hardware Maintenance Parts
Your Local Field Engineer maintains a personal OEM parts inventory based on their client coverage and needs. This data center hardware maintenance parts inventory is periodically reviewed, analyzed and redistributed as necessary between hubs and remote stocking locations based on need and usage.

Service parts are an integral piece of the Park Place Technologies service delivery model. The logistics team has the responsibility to ensure that the proper solution sets arrive and are available whether at your site; your local field engineer’s stocking location, or a site designated by the coordinator.
Park Place has data center hardware maintenance parts management procedures based on the age, install base and lifecycle of the products and models that an OEM part supports. This information is consistently analyzed and optimized to ensure we have the right part, in the right place, at the right time.
Park Place Distribution Locations
Park Place deploys a traditional hub and spoke distribution network and infrastructure. Various stocking and distribution points exist across the US, Canada and overseas. The majority of our inventory moves from two central Park Place locations directly to local stocking locations or on site at customers.
We deploy two basic types of order fulfillment strategies to fulfill parts demand; facing fill and search fill. With facing fill, we will fill OEM parts orders from inventory on hand at the location nearest to the client, which could be at the customer site or with a local engineer. We will use search fill when a data center hardware maintenance part is not available locally and we use an escalation process to search our vast network for the part to fill the order, fast. Park Place purchases whole units to use as spares as well as whole units to be used for piece parts, based on analysis of historical failure information.
