Park Place prepares resources to serve clients for Winter Storm Maya

February 12, 2019

February 12, 2019 — Park Place Technologies is taking proactive steps to serve clients who may be impacted by the “expansive chaos” of Winter Storm Maya.

According to the Weather Channel:

  • Maya will hammer the Midwest and Northeast, and parts of Canada, through Wednesday.
  • Heavy snow and strong winds will impact the upper Midwest.
  • Accumulating ice will slicken roads and may trigger power outages and tree damage.
  • Parts of the Interstate 95 corridor in the Northeast will see a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain before changing to rain.

Park Place has set up a Command Center in Marlboro, Mass., that is ready to deploy whatever resources clients need. Clients will have immediate access to our supply chain, tech support, field team and suppliers. Our entire field team is on “high alert” and will be ready to deploy in the areas most impacted.

Park Place has been reaching out to critical end-users such as hospitals to ensure they are ready to engage us if they are hit hard.

Park Place has identified customers who could be impacted and has moved additional material into the potential impacted regions. Field Engineers are planning for the worst and hoping for the best. We are also putting our complete Staff on high alert making sure they are ready to deploy.

Park Place has employed this proactive approach for such recent challenges as the Polar Vortex, Winter Storm Harper, wildfires in California and Hurricanes Florence and Michael. By preparing for potential weather-related interruptions of service, Park Place is proactively investing in data center up time to ensure peace of mind for our clients.

Since 1991, Park Place Technologies has provided an alternative to post-warranty storage, server and networking hardware maintenance for IT data centers. As the world’s largest post-warranty data center maintenance firm, Park Place supports 15,200+ organizations in 141 countries.
