Park Place Technologies are thrilled to reveal that our Code Club endeavours have restarted for a second year, which strengthens our pledge of giving something back to the community, in the form of teaching computer coding to school children. Last year was Park Place’s first involvement with Code Club and we are proud to continue our volunteering for the foreseeable future.
Code Club is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to teach children the foundations of computer coding, through their range of after school clubs dotted around the UK. Park Place Technologies’ involvement began in November last year and since then 22 hours have been spent volunteering by our inspiring staff, who have introduced 41 children into the world of coding. Computer Science, or coding in general, is a considerably underdeveloped learning programme in the UK, therefore with our volunteers help, it could go some way to inspiring children to pursue a career in IT or even coding, an industry that is always developing.
With Code Club participation now in full swing, watch this space for increased volunteering involvement throughout EMEA. If you would like to find out more about Park Place Technologies’ contribution to Code Club, please contact Jack Kauter on +44 (0)203 430 6006.
