Park Place monitoring California Wildfires, power outages

August 28, 2020

Place Technologies is taking proactive steps to prepare clients impacted by California’s wildfire and power outages.

Associated Press reports the California wildfires have burned over 1 million acres with more than 13,000 firefighters working the fires. Two fires — the 347,630 -acre LNU Lightning Complex Fire in the northern Bay Area and Central Valley, and the 343,965 acre-acre SCU Lightning Complex Fire largely east of San Jose — are among the state’s three largest wildfires in recorded history. Lake, Napa, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, and Yolo counties have been declared Presidential Major Disaster Areas. A shift in the weather on Monday, Aug. 24, is expected to bring unpredictable winds, more sizzling temperatures and potential lightning strikes that could ignite new wildfires across the state.

Park Place has set up a Command Center in Marlboro, Mass., that is ready to deploy whatever resources clients need in each of the impacted areas. Clients will have immediate access to our supply chain, tech support, field team and suppliers. Our field teams are on “high alert” and will be ready to deploy in the areas most impacted.

By preparing for potential weather-related or disaster-related interruptions of service, Park Place is proactively investing in the uptime and peace of mind of our clients.

For further information on service in any impacted areas, please call 800-343-4654.
