Additional Server Monitoring Capabilities

Take a deeper dive into Entuity’s ability to monitor servers.
  • Entuity can monitor the underlying hardware of servers, identifying components and detecting failures like bad disk drives or memory modules. It can pull information on power supplies, fan assemblies, and temperature or current sensors.

  • Entuity monitors operating systems directly, regardless of whether they are on physical servers, VMs, or in the cloud. It supports Windows via WinRM and IBM AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, and Linux via SSH. This level of monitoring provides key performance indicators like CPU and memory utilization, and allows for monitoring of logical volumes (disk drives) and their capacities. Entuity can also monitor specific OS services, alerting when a service starts or stops, and even allows for starting or stopping services directly from the UI, given appropriate permissions.

  • Entuity can monitor the underlying hardware of servers, identifying components like power supplies, fans, and temperature sensors. It can alert on failures or abnormal conditions of these components. For physical servers, it can use protocols such as REST, SNMP, SSH, and WBEM to gather information.
