Alert: Support During Hurricane Delta
Park Place Technologies is taking proactive steps to prepare clients for Hurricane Delta, which is predicted to make a Friday landfall on the Gulf Coast with storm surge floods, high winds and additional rain flooding from Louisiana and east Texas to Mississippi. Many of these areas are still impacted by this season’s Hurricanes Sally and Laura. Power outages are widely expected.
Delta could hit land as a Category 3 hurricane. Parts of Louisiana could see 11 feet of water, according to the National Hurricane Center.
“Delta is expected to grow in size as it approaches the northern Gulf Coast, where life threatening storm surge and dangerous hurricane-force winds are likely beginning Friday, particularly for portions of the Louisiana coast,” The Center reported. “Delta is expected to continue gradually strengthening during the next 24 hours while it remains over warm deep waters and in an environment of low wind shear and a high amount of moisture.”
Park Place has set up a Command Center in Marlboro, Mass., that is ready to deploy whatever resources clients need. Clients will have immediate access to our supply chain, tech support, field team and suppliers. Our entire Gulf Coast region field team is on “high alert” and will be ready to deploy in the areas most impacted. Park Place has been reaching out to critical end-users like hospitals to ensure they are ready to engage us if they are hit hard.
Park Place has identified customers who could be impacted and have moved additional material into the potential landing zone. Field Engineers are planning for the worst and hoping for the best. We are also putting our complete Gulf Coast staff on high alert making sure they are ready to deploy.
By preparing for potential weather-related interruptions of service, Park Place is proactively investing in the uptime and peace of mind of our clients.
