Meet the Park Place Technologies leadership team.
Chris Adams
President & Chief Executive Officer

As President and CEO of Park Place Technologies, Chris Adams is an architect of leadership, innovation and change. Since being named CEO in 2019, Chris has set a new path for growth and customer excellence. He is committed to extending the traditional strengths of Park Place in maintenance and support to meet changing needs of customers in an era of digital transformation. To that end, Chris is leading the category development of DMSO (Discover, Monitor, Support, Optimize), a new approach to bringing order to managing an organization’s critical infrastructure while eliminating chaos and accelerating business transformation.

Chris joined Park Place in 2006 as CFO and his most recent role was COO, where he oversaw global operations, information & technology, new product development, international expansion and all mergers & acquisitions activity.

Chris received his MBA in Accounting from the University of Toledo and his MBA in Entrepreneurship from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.

Dave Cox
Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Dave Cox will oversee all global operations for Park Place, helping to scale recent growth and maintain Park Place Technologies’ commitment to innovation while continuing to deliver superior customer service.

Before joining Park Place Technologies, Dave served as Chief Customer Success Officer at fintech software provider eFront, helping to transform the company’s function holistically by implementing tailored management programs to streamline operations and staffing. Prior to eFront, Dave spent nearly 11 years at EMC across support, professional services, and consulting. His responsibilities ranged from driving strategy to operational transformation across EMC’s global services organization, as well as business unit P&L leadership. Additionally. Dave  was a consultant with McKinsey & Co. where he focused on the high-tech sector. He also spent eight years in the U.S. Navy as a submarine officer.

Michael Vedda
Chief Revenue Officer

As CRO, Vedda will drive revenue globally for Park Place Technologies across all strategic business units, including ParkViewTM and Entuity. In this role, he will be responsible for:

  • Global revenue growth, overseeing organic sales and acquisitions
  • Global sales leadership, leading a team of established sales veterans
  • Global sales recruitment, guiding retention, training, and development

Well-suited to help drive the company’s ambitious growth plans, Vedda brings nearly 25 years of professional experience to Park Place Technologies, most recently serving as Dell EMC Vice President of Sales for the Americas, Data Protections Solutions. In more than 15 years at Dell, his roles included leading a specialty business overseeing sales strategy, sales operations, demand and revenue generation, and profitability. Vedda also served in several sales leadership roles across Asia and Europe during nearly a decade at Parametric Technology Corp. He began his career after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in 1991.

Chief Financial Officer

As CFO, Andy will oversee Park Place’s overall financial strategy, including reporting, capital allocation, and treasury. Andy brings nearly 30 years of experience to Park Place Technologies. He most recently served as CFO of Valtris Specialty Chemicals in Independence, Ohio, where he successfully led a team of 30 people through financial planning and analysis, credit market activities, private equity sponsorship, board relations, and mergers and acquisition diligence and integration.

Andy’s previous positions include CFO for ERICO International Corporation, in Solon, Ohio, where he served for more than a decade, and Controller for Chart Industries, Inc., formerly headquartered in Garfield Heights, Ohio. He began his career after graduating from John Carrol University and serving as auditor for Ernst & Young in Cleveland.

Executive Vice President and General Manager of ParkView

As Executive Vice President and General Manager of ParkView, Kathie Lyons oversees Park Place’s automated monitoring platform, ParkView. ParkView encompasses the entire data center and integrates exceptional 24/7 global customer service and advanced engineering through a single pane of glass, to deliver immediate and intelligent responses to maintenance needs. Kathie will lead the integration of Entuity Network Analytics (ENA) into ParkView. ENA will provide more value to customers with network insights that drive business success, reduced networks alerts, faster fixes and the ability to find the root cause of problems with real-time proactive network analytics delivering more uptime for exceptional end-user productivity.

Lyons is an accomplished and respected operational leader with a 25+ year track record of driving enterprise wide operational excellence to impact top and bottom line performance. She has a demonstrated ability to align technology, services, and cross-functional processes to enable corporate strategy. Most recently, she served as a partner with CIO Sensei, helping clients transform their organizations, business programs and IT solutions. Prior to CIO Sensei, she served as an executive at EMC, holding the role of Vice President Enterprise Programs and National Security.

Lyons is a graduate of Boston College and holds an MBA from Babson College.

Hal Malstrom
General Manager, Global Professional Services

As General Manager of Professional Services, Hal is responsible for managing and expanding Park Place Technologies’ professional services $35 million global portfolio, driving professional services sales, and the successful delivery of professional services engagements for both channel and direct customers globally.

During Hal’s 12 years here at Park Place Technologies, he spent the first 10 managing their Global Service Operations, responsible for service delivery, engineering, and support center operations.  For the past 2 years Hal has served as Chief of Staff for President/CEO, Chris Adams. Hal has been a strategic leader with a focus on providing the highest level of customer satisfaction across the globe for our 21,000+ Park Place customers.

Before joining Park Place Technologies, Hal built the service delivery arm for Data General’s Professional Services Network Practice, which generated $30 million in revenue in the first 18 months of operations. Hal’s next assignment was Global Operations Director for Professional Services. He also worked at EMC within their Professional Services division, where he created their Global Network Services organization, which was responsible for delivering assessment services for their Network Attached Storage products. Hal’s next role was managing EMC’s Global CLARiiON technical support division, where he provided world class support to customers around the globe.

After hours, Hal enjoys spending time with family, supporting his hometown Chicago sports teams, and listening to rock & roll music. He is also a performance car enthusiast. Hal earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Workforce Education and Human Resource Development at Southern Illinois University.

Sachi Thompson
General Manager, Global Hardware Division

As General Manager, Global Hardware, Sachi leads our global server, storage and network hardware business. She has been with the organization for 14 years and held various executive roles overseeing the expansion of the brand globally and managing the global supply chain and logistics infrastructure for Curvature.

Previously the Executive Vice President of Supply Chain for Curvature, Sachi led the global Curvature team in charge of supply chain, procurement, logistics, and facilities operations.

Sachi also served as COO, leading initiatives that contributed to organizational growth from $14 million to $56 million over three years. She focused efforts on emerging markets and new lines of business, managing a team of 400 global staff, as well as P&L budgeting and management for 75% of the company’s spend. As COO, Sachi rebuilt and ran maintenance product offerings and rebuilt the service delivery organization, unifying global operating processes.

Prior to joining Curvature, Sachi was the Leasing and Facilities Director for a private real estate group, where she managed a $40 million portfolio. Sachi also served as Production Director for Big Dogs Sportswear and has more than 10 years of experience in offshore production and cost management.

Chief HR Officer

As CHRO, Bob oversees HR compliance, employee recruitment development and retention. He is responsible for strengthening employee culture and replicating it to the 150 countries served by Park Place; developing Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness initiatives; strategic planning; talent development and Learning; and innovative performance management.

Before joining Park Place Technologies, Bob served as Executive Vice President and CHRO for Oshkosh Corp., a specialty vehicle manufacturer. He managed HR operations for the $8.4B manufacturer of mission-critical specialty vehicles and truck bodies with 30 facilities and 15.4K team members worldwide. He oversaw enterprise safety, security, and facilities functions. He also served as an HR executive with Eaton Corporation, Scotts Miracle-Gro, Frito-Lay, and The Pepsi Bottling Group.

Bob holds a Master of HR and Labor Relations from Michigan State and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich. He enjoys competitive tennis and spending time with his family.

Jennifer Deutsch
Chief Marketing Officer

As Chief Marketing Officer, Jennifer leads Park Place’s marketing and communication teams with a focus on growing the Park Place Technologies brand.

Jennifer brings over three decades of marketing and brand development experience. She has spent time on both the client and agency side. Prior to Park Place Jennifer was the Founder, COO of Antidote 360 and EVP, General Manager at Doner Advertising. Her client-side experience includes past positions at Marriott International where she served as SVP, Global Brand Management where she repositioned and optimized the Marriott brand portfolio. Jennifer began her career at Nestle USA as a Management Trainee and held several positions during her tenure at Nestle including Brand Manager, Lean Cuisine and Director of New Ventures for the Nestle Ice Cream Division.

In her spare time, Jennifer is an avid cyclist and gardener. She is an active community member and serves on several boards. Her commitment to STEM education and inspiring young women to explore technology careers led to Park Place initiating global coding programs; an internship and laptop donation program with the world’s largest STEM nonprofit, IWish; and an ongoing partnership with the Girl Scouts.

Jennifer is a graduate of Columbia University in New York City and the proud mother of two sons.

Betsy Dellinger headshot

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

As Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Betsy brings nearly 30 years of business law experience to Park Place Technologies. Supporting the growth of Park Place, Betsy leads a team that provides legal support to our sales group worldwide and serves as an important contributor to our focused acquisitions and strategic initiatives teams. She also oversees the Human Resources team, and compliance and risk management for the company globally.

Betsy’s legal career includes over 20 years in private practice as a corporate law partner at Benesch Friedlander and Baker Hostetler in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as in-house business and legal experience for entrepreneurial PE-funded businesses.

Betsy has served as an adjunct instructor in the MBA program at Baldwin Wallace University and is the in-coming Chairman of the Board of Julie Billiart School in Lyndhurst, a standard-setting K-8 program for children with autism, ADD/ADHD, dyslexia and other learning difficulties.

Betsy is an outdoors advocate, a graduate of Kenyon College and Case Western Reserve Law School and the parent of two teenage sons.

Michael Cantor
Chief Information Officer

As Chief Information Officer, Michael leads the delivery of technology initiatives to improve Park Place’s internal and customer-facing capabilities while ensuring the globalization and security of Park Place’s systems as the company continues to expand.

Michael comes to Park Place with over 25 years of experience in the IT industry. Most recently Michael served as CIO for Cardinal Health at Home, where he was responsible for all segment-specific IT initiatives and the creation of a new digital front-end for the B2C portion of the business. Prior to Cardinal Health, Michael was the CIO at Matrix Medical Network, based in Scottsdale, Arizona. At Matrix, Michael drove the digital transformation of the business through the growth of Matrix’s IT capability and implementation of key IT projects that enabled the company to grow revenue at a 3x rate over three years.

Michael is a Georgia State University alumnus with a BBA in Computer Information Systems. He and his wife, Beth, have two daughters and are avid hikers.

Nicola Buckley
Executive Vice President, Global Service Delivery

As Executive Vice President, Global Service Delivery, Nicola is responsible for Global Service Operations delivery including the Global Support Center, Advanced Engineering and Field Service Delivery. Nicola is focused on developing expert technical teams supported by next generation technology capabilities. This includes IoT, M2M and Big Data technologies delivering a superior digital experience through AI. Nicola is focused on driving a trusted partnership with our customers, by helping them with their own personal journey of consolidation and optimization.

Prior to joining Park Place Technologies, Nicola was with Dell EMC for 20 years. She held various roles, starting as a technical support engineer. From there she held several Customer First focused roles, including Customer Satisfaction programs, programs supporting IoT and M2M capabilities and led a customer and technical support organization delivering Enterprise Hybrid Cloud, Converged and Hyper Converged organizations.

Nicola is a native of Ireland. She attended University College Cork for a Bachelors degree in Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering, and Brandeis University for a Masters degree in Program Management. Nicola currently resides in Massachusetts with her husband, daughter and son.

Ian Shearer
Managing Director, EMEA and APAC

As Managing Director, EMEA and APAC, Ian has overall responsibility for the growth and development of Park Place across EMEA and Asia.

Ian brings a wealth of Third Party Maintenance experience, having joined Park Place Technologies following the acquisition of Computer Computer (Com-Com) Limited in September 2016, which he had owned and operated for 24 years. During a successful stint as General Manager of Europe for Park Place, he was heavily involved in the acquisition and integration of his own former business as well as the two subsequent UK acquisitions of Prestige Data Centre Solutions and NCE computer Group into the Park Place family.

Away from work, Ian is an avid road cyclist and skier who also enjoys travel, cooking and historical fiction. Ian, his wife and three daughters reside in Singapore.

Ian is a business graduate of the University of Sunderland.

Sean Sears
Vice President of Channel Sales, EMEA

As Vice President of Channel Sales, EMEA, Sean is responsible for leading all aspects of the Park Place Channel business in the region, with a focus on ensuring customer satisfaction, business development and growth. Prior to managing EMEA Channel sales for Park Place, Sean ran Park Place’s business operations in Canada and served as Director in EMEA. Sean is a seasoned tech executive with over 30 years of experience and a proven track record.

Before joining Park Place, Sean worked throughout North America, UK and Europe, where he has been in leadership roles developing strategies and managing aggressive growth plans for several organizations. Sean has held senior positions at Nortel Networks, American Express and Vonage. While at Vonage, Canada Sean was Vice President, Operations & Technology, where he was responsible for the direction and expansion of the networks, facilities management, supply chain management, 911 services, application development and management information systems.

Sean is currently living in London. He is a foodie, chef at heart and a Formula One fan.

Christian Mendes Gouveia
Managing Director, LATAM

As Managing Director for LATAM, Christian is responsible for leading all aspects of the Park Place business in the region, with a focus on ensuring customer satisfaction, business development and growth.

Christian started his career in 1998 at The Nielsen Company. During his more than 20 years there, he served in multiple leadership positions in Argentina, Latin America and worldwide, earning solid corporate background knowledge and skillsets. In parallel, as an entrepreneur, he started his own company in 2011, CMG Technologies, dedicated to providing third party maintenance services across LATAM. Due to the outstanding results, customer orientation and coverage in +30 countries, CMG was acquired by Park Place Technologies LLC in 2018, enabling the world’s largest post-warranty data center maintenance firm to offer its services to customers who are based or have operations throughout Latin America.

Christian has a Bachelor degree in IT. He is happily married since 1999, is a dedicated father of a son and a daughter, is a fan of soccer and rugby and loves to travel with his family to explore the world.

John Parlee headshot

Chief Information Security Officer

As Chief Information Security Officer, John drives the strategic planning and policy to deliver a mature information security and risk management program, ensuring the protection of employees and customers.

John is a seasoned information security leader with expertise in developing information security programs. Most recently, John was the Director of Information Security for Carbon Black (acquired by VMWare), where he led the security engineering and threat operations teams. Prior to Carbon Black, John established the security operations program as Head of Information Security for Cognex Corporation. He spent his early career years working on information security programs for the U.S. Department of Defense and DARPA with the MITRE corporation.

John graduated from the United States Military Academy with a degree in information systems engineering and holds a master’s degree in information security from Carnegie Mellon University. He served as a Cavalry Officer in the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, and as an Officer in the Army Reserve Information Operations Command. In his spare time, John enjoys investigating new information security technologies and training for the triathlon season.
