Announcing Park Place WINS™
Park Place WINS™ is Park Place Technologies investment in the future of our communities and company – by promoting STEM opportunities for girls and young women.
Park Place Technologies provides post-warranty hardware maintenance for IT data centers. The company was founded in 1991, is headquartered in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, employs 1200 people, has offices in nearly 20 countries across the globe, and services customers in 141 countries worldwide. To put it simply, the business world relies on computers and data centers; we fix what breaks. And we do it by having people and parts located within hours our customers wherever they are in the world.
As a technology company, and one taking pride in the opportunities we create for all of our employees, we are uniquely positioned to support, educate and open doors for girls and young women to join the ranks of persons working in technology fields. Our STEM program is branded “WINS™” – Women in STEM – and includes:
WINS™ K to College: this is our in-school curriculum and sponsorship support program. For elementary and middle schools, we share with girls what a technology career “looks” like and invite students to field trip opportunities to our offices. For high school, this program expands to include shadow days to witness and participate first hand in our technology tracks.
IT WINS™: this is our US-based college intern program for women seeking careers in the IT field. Internships for both school year and summer are available.
CORK WINS™: this program is in partnership with the Ireland-based iWish Foundation and invites two Irish college students to experience a fully funded 10-day to two-week opportunity to extern at Park Place’s Massachusetts and Ohio facilities to further explore multi-national technology careers.
